Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients above 18 years of age Patient reporting for extraction of acutely symptomatic teeth Patients not on any antibiotic therapy in the past 1 month Patients requiring single tooth extraction in a single sitting Patients consenting to the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with allergy to penicillin.
