Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| To assess the incidence and severity of radial artery spasm (RAS) Assessed by: 1. Angiographic evidence showing narrowing of radial artery. 2. Pain perceived by the patient. Pain will be graded from 0-10 on a visual analogue scale. Pain more than or equal to 8 will indicate severe spasm. 3. Limitation in advancing or withdrawing the catheters or guidewires as detected by the operator. It will be graded as mild difficulty, moderate difficulty and completlely stuck catheter. Timepoint: Day 1 and 1 month | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| 1)Change in Radial artery diameter after subcutaneous injection measured by doppler ultrasound 2)Radial artery puncture attempts 3)Procedure duration in minutes 4)Hemodynamic changes measured by blood pressure and pulse monitoring during the procedure Timepoint: at 24 hours and one month after the procedure | — |
