Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Pregnant women of 37 to 42 weeks of gestation Singleton pregnancy Cephalic presentation Unfavourable cervix modified Bishop score less than six Adequate pelvis Intact membranes Reactive FHR

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Malpresentation Multiple pregnancy Contracted pelvis / CPD Previous scarred uterus Ruptured membranes Abnormally implanted placenta Active genital infections Severe oligohydramnios Polyhydramnios Modified Bishops score more than six
