Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Systemically healthy subjects 2. Age ranged between 20 to 65 years 3. Stage III periodontitis (case definition by EFP-AAP periodontal destruction in maxilla or mandible excluding molars 5. Probing pocket depth greater than or equal to 5 mm either with horizontal pattern of bone destruction 6. Patients exhibiting satisfactory oral hygiene at the time of surgery

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Sites with pseudo pockets 2. Teeth with advanced mobility (grade III Miller mobility Index) 3. Sites with prosthetic restorations or incomplete endodontic therapy 4. Patients who are smokers 5. Pregnant and lactating women 6. Patients with glycemic status and HbA1c greater than or equal to 7 percentage 7. Patients with known platelet disorders or using any medication that are known to interfere with platelet function 8. Patients with other systemic conditions or diseases influencing the course of periodontal disease and therapy
