Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Adult patient of any age and gender. 2. Maxillary defects due to maxillectomy showing satisfactory healing. 3. No indication of tumor recurrence and not planned for any further surgical intervention in the next 03 years. 4. Patients with a partial defect, with an oronasal communication or an oro-naso-orbital defect. 5. Patient with or without healthy maxillary tooth present in the remaining dentition for fabrication of prosthesis. 6. Old prosthesis wearers reporting for a check up/review/ refabrication of the prosthesis.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with incomplete healing following maxillectomy. 2. Patients with limited mouth opening. 3.Patient who are not cooperative/ patients with behavioural or understanding problems.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
On completion of the study within stipulated time period, it can be concluded as to which of the impression method/techniques is most accurate in the recording of maxillectomy defects.Timepoint: All procedures will be done simultaneously at baseline.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
The impression technique which offers better patient compliance & is less time consuming amongst the conventional & digital impression technique will also be evaluated.Timepoint: The secondary outcome will also be evaluated simultaneously at baseline at a single time.
