Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: oPatient diagnosed with chronic periodontitis oPatients having periodontal pockets of more than 5 mm oPatient with clinical attachment loss more than 2 mm oPatients with good general health, without any history of systemic disease or under medication. oPatient with at least 20 natural teeth Patient ready to give written informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: oMedically compromised patients. oPatients on antimicrobial therapy oSmokers and smokeless tobacco users. oPatients showing unacceptable oral hygiene during pre-surgical (Phase I) period. oPatient who received periodontal therapy in the past 6 months. oPregnant women and lactating mothers.
