Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Age range of 18-45years Permanent mature first/second (upper/lower) molar tooth History of spontaneous pain lasting for a few seconds to several hours, exacerbation of pain by hot and cold fluids, radiating pain Size of exposure greater than 5mm Tooth with pulpal bleeding after full pulpotomy controlled within 10mins Positive response to cold with no sign of pulpal necrosis including swelling or sinus tract Vital mature permanent teeth with extremely deep carious lesions covering at least TWO THIRD of dentine Patients accepting to provide informed consent for treatment and recalls
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Tooth exhibiting negative response to pulp testing Presence of a sinus tract or swelling Uncontrollable pulpal hemorrhage after the procedure lasting more than 10mins Radiograph showing abnormality around the apex of tooth, PAI greater than 2 Positive tender on percussion Patients with symptomatic disease, physical and mental disabilities Patients unwilling to continue treatment/follow up
