Intervention1: Inj oxytocin 5 units after delivery of the baby.: 50 patients in Group A will receive intravenous Oxytocin 5 units single dose after delivery of the baby. Hemodynamic parameters i.e. SB

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - pregnant women with preeclampsia on magnesium sulfate regimens - BMI between 18.5 and 24 - elective C-section at term pregnancy under spinal anesthesia.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - regional anesthesia refusal, - regional anesthesia contraindications (e.g., Thrombocytopenia, coagulopathy), - conditions associated with an increased level of PPH risk, such as placenta previa, placental abruption, and multiple gestation, - pregnancy-related complications as gestational diabetes, or pre-existing diseases as insulin-dependent diabetes, cardiovascular or renal diseases, hypo/hyperthyroidism because these conditions might interfere with the hemodynamic parameters.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To compare blood pressure betwen two groups.Timepoint: Pre operative and Intra operative 1, 5, 10, 15, 30, 60 minutes after administration of study drugs.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
- to compare other hemodynamic parameters such as HR, SpO2. - to compare need for vasopressor use. - to compare Uterine contraction, need for extra uterotonic, PPH incidence. - to study side effects of study drugs. Timepoint: Pre operative and Intra operative 1, 5, 10, 15, 30 and 60 minutes after administration of study drugs.
