Interventions

Intervention1: Alpha binaural beats intervention: Participants will be seated with eyes closed and listen to alpha binaural beats using head/ear phones for 6 minutes. Intervention2: GV 20, LI4 and GB2

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Staff of the AIIMS Bibinagar and ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Hyderabad with history of hypertension belonging to both genders BP more than equal to 140 and 90 mm Hg Age between 25-60 years BMI less than 25 Willingness to participate and provide informed consent PSS cutoff 19 and above scores

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: History of neurological disorders, endocrine disorders, malignancy, coronary artery disease, stroke, psychiatric disorders, metabolic disorders, obesity, hearing deficits, , kidney disoders, hypercholesterolemia Patients of hypertension on beta blockers, Calcium channel blockers Pregnancy or lactation. Those with a formal training in music Regular Practitioners of any other alternate therapies like yoga and meditation

Effect of alpha binaural rhythm administration and accupressure point stimulation (GV20, LI4 and GB20) independently and in combination on autonomic function parameters and perceived stress levels among hypertensive individualsTimepoint: 0 and 4 weeks

Variations in the levels of blood pressure, autonomic function parameters including heart rate variability (HRV), electrodermal response (EDR), photoplethysmography (PPG), and beat-to-beat blood pressure variability along with EEG before and after intervention between the intervention groups and the control groupTimepoint: 0 and 4 weeks
