Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: a) Caregivers of patients who are undergoing surgeries of shorter duration and lower complexity like Laparoscopic Appendectomy, Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy, Inguinal Hernia Repair and Umbilical Hernia Repair. b) Caregivers of patients scheduled for planned, routine and scheduled surgeries. c) Caregivers of patients between 18 and 59 years old. d) Patient Caregivers who understand Kannada or English languages. e) Patient caregivers Willingness to participate f) Patient caregivers who are comfortable with use of smart phones and have strong digital literacy skills.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: a) Caregivers of patients undergoing complex and extensive surgeries requiring ICU post-op recovery for more than 24 hours. b) Caregivers of patients involved in accident and emergency surgical cases. c) Caregivers of patients with Co-morbidities and Co-existing Conditions. d) Children below 18yrs & patients above 60yrs of age. e) Caregivers of patients with high-risk surgeries like neuro surgeries, cardiac surgeries, organ transplant surgeries, oncological surgeries, complex trauma surgeries and major abdominal surgeries, orthopaedic surgeries, major abdominal surgeries (such as gastric bypass, pancreatic resections, and liver resections), complex trauma surgeries, oncological surgeries, and vascular surgeries. f) Patient caregivers not comfortable with use of smart phones and with poor digital literacy skills g) Caregivers of Patients with bilateral arm amputation will be excluded.
