Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| To measure and compare the efficacy of FNB with two techniques in patients undergoing hip surgeries in terms of: 1. Fraction of drug reaching the femoral nerve 2. Extent of relief from pain during positioning for anaesthesia (by NRS) Timepoint: During pre-anaesthetic evaluation and at baseline, 15 minutes and 30 minutes after instituting femoral nerve block by NRS score | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Onset time Overall success rate Adverse effects like vascular puncture, nerve puncture, hematoma, toxicity Timepoint: During pre-anaesthetic evaluation & at baseline, 15 minutes & 30 minutes after instituting femoral nerve block by NRS score | — |
