Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: History of infertility of at least 12 months despite regular unprotected intercourse Age Men within the reproductive age range typically 18 to 50 years to represent the population of interest Ability to understand and communicate in the language used in the study material Abstinence Period Men adhering to a specific abstinence period eg 2 to 7 days before semen collection to ensure a standard sperm concentration Type of infertility primary or secondary Unexplained infertility Varicocele cryptorchidism testicular trauma gonadal disease Genital tract infection scrotal disease
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Age Men outside the defined reproductive age range TESA TESE PESA MESA RETROGRADE EJACULATE samples are excluded Recent Illness or Fever Men who have experienced illness or fever in the weeks leading up to the study as this could temporarily affect sperm parameters Serologically infected patients Patients with sexually transmitted disease
