Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients aged above 18 years, ASA PS I and II undergoing elective or emergency surgery under general anaesthesia with endotracheal intubation using an endotracheal tube and who are extubated in the OR itself after the surgery

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: ASA PS III and above, Patients with difficulty in communication, Pregnant women, Patients shifted to ICU because of unanticipated postoperative mechanical ventilation, patients requiring nasal intubations, patients who get discharged on the same day of surgery (daycare anaesthesia)
