Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients fulfilling the diagnostic criteria of Apabahuka (frozen shoulder) 2. Patients aged between 30 and 60 years, of either male or female gender, are considered. 3. Patient diagnosed with Apabahuka and fit for Swedana karma. 4. A person diagnosed with Apabahuka with chronicity less than 5 years.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patient with Traumatic Shoulder injuries e.g. dislocations and fractures. 2. Metabolic Disorders like h/o uncontrolled diabetes mellitus. 3. Patient with h/o Rheumatoid arthritis, Gouty arthritis, septic arthritis. 4. Patient unfit for Swedana procedure.

MeasureTime frame
Significant improvement in the signs & symptoms of Apabahuka is assessed through Clinical gradings including - 1. Stiffness. (Amsa Stambhana) 2. Pain in shoulder joint. (Amsa Shoola) 3. Restricted range of movements. (Bahupraspandanahara) 4. Improvement in Objective parameters is assessed by Goniometric measurements and VAS Scale.Timepoint: 0th day(before treatment) and 8th day(after treatment) and 15th day(last follow up)
