Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: INCLUSION CRITERIA FOR UNAFFECTED RELATIVES OF PROBANDS WITH EARLY ONSET SCHIZOPHRENIA Group 1 1. Family history of early onset schizophrenia 2. First-degree relatives monozygotic twin more than offspring more than dizygotic twin more than non twin sibling more than parent of subjects in patient group 3. Age- 18 to 50 years 4. General Health Questionnaire 28 5. Individuals amenable to follow instructions 6. Right handed normotensive patients 7. Written informed consent on behalf of participant, parents, guardians or caregivers as applicable. INCLUSION CRITERIA FOR CLINICAL CONTROL: REMITTED PATEINTS WITH EARLY ONSET SCHIZOPHRENIA Group 2 1. Diagnosis of Schizophrenia using Clinical descriptions and diagnostic requirements for ICD-11 mental, behavioural and neurodevelopmental disorders CDDR ICD-11 CDDR, World Health Organization, 2019. 2. Adolescents with onset of schizophrenia before the age of 18 years 3. Age between 10 to 20 years 4. PANSS score 3 or less on all 8 core symptoms of schizophrenia 5. BPRS score more than 20 precent reduction in total score 6. Either sex 7. Individuals amenable to follow instructions 8. Right handed normotensive patients 9. Written informed assent or consent on behalf of participant, parents, guardians or care givers as applicable. INCLUSION CRITERIA FOR HEALTHY CONTROLS Group 3 1. Subjects from the vicinity of CIP, Ranchi with no major physical or psychiatric disease or first degree relative history of schizophrenia 2. Subjects matched with Group 1 in respect to age, sex education and handedness 3. General Health Questionnaire 28 4. Subjects giving written consent 5. Individuals amenable to follow instructions 6. Right handed normotensive patients
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: EXCLUSION CRITERIA FOR UNAFFECTED RELATIVES OF PROBANDS WITH EARLY ONSET SCHIZOPHRENIA Group 1 1. BP more than 140/90 mmHg 2. Any substance dependence except nicotine and caffeine 3. Having any metallic implants or parts in body 4. Current neurological or any comorbid psychiatric disorders 5. History of epilepsy, substantial brain damage or any neurological procedures. EXCLUSION CRITRIA FOR CLINICAL CONTROL REMITTED PATEINTS WITH EARLY ONSET SCHIZOPHRENIA Group 2 1. Patients having BP more than 140/90 mmHg 2. Symptomatic patients of Schizophrenia using Clinical descriptions and diagnostic requirements for ICD-11 mental, behavioural and neurodevelopmental disorders CDDR ICD-11 CDDR, World Health Organization, 2019. 3. Diagnosis of any other psychiatric disorder, intellectual disability, history of substantial brain damage, or any neurological or physical disorders 4. Patient with any substance dependence except nicotine and caffeine 5. Patients having any metallic implants or parts in body. 6. Subjects who have received ECT in past 6 months. EXCLUSION CRITERIA FOR HEALTHY CONTROLS Group 3 1. Control having BP more than 140/90 mmHg 2. Family history of schizophrenia 3. Diagnosis of any psychiatric disorder, intellectual disability, history of substantial brain damage, or any neurological or physical disorders 4. Any substance dependence except nicotine and caffeine 5. Having any metallic implants or parts in body
