Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age 33 to 74 years First episode of stroke Acute and Subacute phase (up to 6 months) Mini-Mental State Examination score 24 or more Higher functioning participants with at least 20 degree of active wrist extension and 10 degree of active extension of every metacarpophalangeal and interphalangeal joints for all digits. Lower functioning participants with at least 10 degree of thumb abduction or extension, and 10 degree of extension in minimum of two additional digits. MAS (2 or less than 2) in affected upper extremity of 6 muscles (shoulder abductors, elbow flexors & extensors, wrist flexors & extensor, finger flexors & extensors and thumb flexors).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Visual Analog Scale (equal or less than 4) Patient with sensory impairment of the hand. Visual or auditory deficits. Deformities of upper limb. All upper extremity fractures. Rigidity of affected extremity.
