Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients of both sexes 2.A total of 80 American Society of Anaesthesiologists (ASA) grade I-Il patients 3.Age range between 18 - 80 years. 4.Weight between 40-70 kg 5.Height between 140-180 cm 6.Undergoing, lower limb surgeries of expected duration less than 120 minutes under spinal anaesthesia either sitting or lateral position were included in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients refusing to give consent. 2.History of hypersensitivity to local anaesthetic. 3.History of neurological disorder. 4.Major systemic diseases like liver and cardiovascular disease. 4.Coagulopathy or bleeding disorders. 5.Patients on anticoagulant therapy anatomical deformities (spinal congenital anomalies, acquired scoliosis, post-traumatic, postlaminectomy).

To obtain satisfactory score based on the patient satisfaction and discomfort on the positions from the patient postoperatively.Timepoint: Postoperatively within 24 hours
