Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Women diagnosed with gestational diabetes mellitus from the point of conceive till the completion of 7th month and who are regularly visits antenatal clinic Women with gestational diabetes mellitus aged between 18 to 40 years Women with gestational diabetes mellitus who are Primigravida or multigravida Women with gestational diabetes mellitus who are willing to give consent for the study Women with gestational diabetes mellitus who can follow instructions in Kannada/English

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Women who are with biohazards (HIV and HBsAg positive). Women who are with mental illness. Women who are having comorbidities condition like cardiac diseases, high risk pregnancy etc. Women who are with twin pregnancy. Women who have preterm labor. Women who comes for first antenatal checkup after completion of 7th month of gestation.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
overall management of GDM women will be enhanced & sustained in terms of maintaining normal blood glycaemic index, enhances mid full ness of eating score and enhanced knowledge level.Timepoint: 6 months

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
with non medical intervention 1. glycemic index level will be controlled, 2.less excessive weight gain, 3. helps to reduce the adverse pregnancy outcome 4. better health indicators of newborn at birth.Timepoint: Assessment will be done ON MONTHLY BASIS to summarize secondary outcome for the period of 3 months after conducting pre test.
