Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adults (aged 18 years and above) diagnosed with NSCLC and SCLC lung cancer. Posted for elective surgery with/without radiation therapy and with/without Chemotherapy. Patient willing to complete their treatment at Tata Memorial Hospital. Patients are able to comprehend Hindi and English.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patient considered for surgery for secondary lung cancer.

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate energy capacity in lung cancer patients at three timelines: pre-surgery, post surgery during hospitalization, and at six months follow-up, measured in metabolic equivalents of task (MET) using a bicycle ergometer.Timepoint: 6 months

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate the functional status of lung cancer, using Canadian Occupational Performance Measure (COPM). To evaluate Shortness of breath in surgically treated lung cancer patient using Cancer Dyspnea Scale (CDS). To evaluate fatigue in surgically treated lung cancer patient using Multidimensional Fatigue Inventory (MFI-20)Timepoint: 6 months
