Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Term neonates from 24 completed hours to day 7 of life with bilirubin levels requiring phototherapy as per AAP guidelines
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Neonates developing jaundice within 24 hours of birth. 2. Neonates nearing or at exchange transfusion level as per Bhutani nomogram. 3. Neonates with congenital anomalies, sepsis, hemolytic anemia, direct hyperbilirubinemia, perinatal asphyxia, IUGR, prematurity. 4. Infants of mother with gestational diabetes mellitus, hyperthyroidism, mothers that received anticonvulsants.
