Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients in the age group 16-60 years irrespective of age, sex, caste, religion etc. 2. SNHL greater than 25 dB and less than 70 dB with history less than one year.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Age:below 16 years and above 60 years 2. Degree of hearing loss greater than 70 dB 3. Conductive deafness 4. Mixed hearing loss 5. Middle ear pathology 6. Inner ear pathology like acoustic neuroma, 7. Meniere s disease. 8. Genetic SNHL 9. Syphilis SNHL 10. Psychogenic hearing loss 11. Systemic diseases: e.g. Diabetes, Hypothyroidism, Renal disorders,Autoimmune disorders, Multiple sclerosis. 12. Malignancy. 13. Pregnant women 14. Head injury or injury to ear 15. History of intake of ototoxic drugs 16. Patient who needs surgical intervention
