Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age range- 6-12years. Co-operative patients (Frankl s Behavior Rating Scale- Positive + and definitely positive ++)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Any missing index teeth. History of any chronic illness or any kind of systemic illness. History of any allergic reaction to dyes. Parents disagreeing to the use of dye on the child s tongue. Patients with any tongue pathology. Patients under any kind of antibiotics/drug therapy or having any history of the same within one week from the day of examination.

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Correlation exists between the number of fungiform papillae and gingival health, oral hygiene and dental caries in both normal as well as unilateral cleft palate children.Timepoint: Data will be assessed right after collecting samples, no followups required. Only baseline data is assessed

To find if the fungiform papilla count varies between normal children & CLCP patientsTimepoint: Data will be assessed right after collecting samples, no followups required. Only baseline data is assessed
