| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| The predictive profile of presence of diaphragm dysfunction (ultrasound assessed, continuous or new onset) at 2 hours after extubating ICU patients in estimating subsequent extubation failure rate within first 48 hrs. post-extubation.Timepoint: For first 48 hours post extubation | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| The predictive profile of presence of diaphragm dysfunction (ultrasound assessed) immediately and at 6 hours extubating ICU patients in estimating subsequent extubation failure rate within first 48 hrs. post-extubation.Timepoint: For first 48 hours post extubation; The predictive profile of presence of diaphragm dysfunction (ultrasound assessed) immediately, 2 hrs. and 6 hrs. after extubating ICU patients in estimating subsequent need of NIV/HFNC within first 48 hrs. post-extubation.Timepoint: For first 48 hours post extubation; The outcome parameters with respect to presence of diaphragmatic dysfunction in ICU patients.Timepoint: For upto 14 days post extubation or death or discharge whichever occurs earlier | — |
