Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1 Classical signs and symptoms of Santarpanottha Prameha (Diabetes mellitus type2) described in Ayurvedic classics as well as modern science 2 Patient having classical signs and symptoms of the disease as per Ayurveda as well as modern science 3 Patients of NIDDM with blood FBS equal to or more than 126 mg/dl or PPBS equal to or more than 200mg/dl 4 Age group of 18 to 60 years 5 Diabetes chronicity more than 10 years 6 Hb1Ac greater than 6 7 Patient otherwise healthy and fit for Virechana therapy
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1 Patients of Type-1 Diabetes or the patients of Type-2 Diabetes taking Insulin 2 Patients having history of any major complications of Diabetes like Nephropathy Retinopathy Diabetic Foot Carbuncles etc 3 Age less than18 and more than 60 years 4 Patient of Type-2 Diabetes mellitus having blood sugar level more than 400 mg/dl 5 Patients having history of any cardiovascular disease renal disease or any other disease affecting multiple body systems and pregnancy etc
