Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All Adult patients aged 18 years or older, with primary, symptomatic CVI of the lower limb, awaiting surgery for CVI or those not willing or unfit for surgery

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with active ulcers related to CVI (C6 disease). 2. Patients presenting only with telangiectasia or reticular veins (Cl disease). 3. Planned for surgery with on six weeks. 4. History of Complications associated with elastic compression stockings. 5. Known allergy to sesame oil (main compound in Sahacharadi Taila). 6. Pregnant, breast feeding or planning pregnancy within six weeks. 7. Patients who are bedridden or unable to evaluate symptoms due to other medical conditions. 8. Patients with, Peripheral vascular disease, Decompensated Cardiovascular disorders. 9. Patients who deny consent to participate in the study.

MeasureTime frame
To compare the Sahacharadi taila and GECS in improving the VCSS in patients with CVI in the lower limb over a period of six weeks.Timepoint: 6 weeks

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To compare the limb circumference, compliance to treatment, and quality of life (QoL) between the patients with CVI of lower limbs treated with Sahacharadi taila local application twice daily for six weeks and GECS.Timepoint: 6 weeks
