Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age group-7 to 12 years Either male or female sex, irrespective of cast,socio economic status. Patients having lakshnas of purishaj anaha likes Udarashula, Purishaj Apravartan, Sashul Malpravritti , Kshuda , Mal swarup , Mutra Apravritti Patients having acute phase of purishaj anaha. Only those patients will be selected whose parents are willing to give written consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients having age group below 7 years and above 12 years Know case of Patient with chronic debilitating disorder or disease Patient on any other long term medications. Know case of Patients suffering from any systemic disease which intervenes with treatment. Patients having chronic and recurrent phases of purishaj anaha will be excluded. Patients having drug induced constipation. Know case of Patients having psychosomatic disorders. Patient with any disease which have constipation as secondary complication. Examples are Hirschsprung disease, spinal cord lesions, colon cancer etc. Unwilling parents withdrawing their child.

MeasureTime frame
To study the Amalaki churna in Purishaj anaha with special reference to functional constipation. To Study clinical features, etiopathology of Purishaj anaha & functional constipation according to ayurveda & modern science respectively. To assess the improvement by gradation of assessment criteria. To know the outcome of study in 8 days.Timepoint: 1 week
