Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Age more than18 years irrespective of gender. 2.Patients who have given informed consent 3.Chest X-ray showing evidence of pleural effusion

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients with bleeding disorders 2.Patients who do not give their consent 3.Pregnant women

1. To study cytological, biochemical, radiological and microbiological parameters in the evaluation pleural effusion . 2. To determine the sensitivity of pleural fluid ADA in the diagnosis of tubercular pleural effusion. Timepoint: 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 6 weeks
