Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients of either sex with age between 18 and 60 years. 2.Willing and able to participate in the study. 3.Patient having signs & symptoms of Amavata (Rheumatoid Arthritis) fulfilling Diagnostic criteria. 4.Patients having RA Factor positive along with classical symptoms of RA 5.Chronicity: less than 10 years. 6.Patients with post-chikungunya Rheumatoid arthritis will be included if fulfilling ACR diagnostic criteria. 7.Patients with minimum 4 out of 7 criteria as per ACR diagnostic criteria. 8.Patient indicated for Virechana Karma and Basti Karma.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients having severe systemic diseases like cardiac disorders, cancer, etc. 2.Patients below 18 years and above 60 years. 3.Pregnant or lactating women. 4.Chronicity: more than 10 years. 5.Patients contra-indicated for Virechana Karma or Basti Karma. 6.Patients having Gouty arthritis. 7.Sero-negative patients (Negative RA Factor) 8.Severe cases of RA: VAS Score lower than 7
