Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Patient reporting to OPD of Dentistry department with the diagnosis of symptomatic irreversible pulpitis in mandibular first or second molar. 2. Patient should not have taken any antibiotic/ analgesic at least 24hrs prior to dental visit.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients who have taken any analgesic 24 hours prior to dental visit. 2. Xray showing periapical radiolucency around the roots of mandibular 1st or 2nd molar. 3. Patients who do not experience profound lip anesthesia 10 minutes after Inferior alveolar nerve block.
