Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All patients who have undergone posterior cranial fossa surgeries for elective or emergency tumor resection with age less than or equal to 15 yrs at Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai and ACTREC, Navi Mumbai between period of 1st January 2014 till 31st January 2025

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients more than 15 years of age

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Primary outcome: To study Incidence of postoperative ventilation in children undergoing posterior fossa surgery and Factors affecting the same Timepoint: within 24 hours of surgery until ICU discharge or 7 days

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To study Postoperative complications Following will be the endpoints for secondary outcomes 1.Duration of Postoperative mechanical ventilation in ICU stay 2. Incidence of Reintubation within 24 hrs post extubation 3. Percentage of children requiring postoperative tracheostomy 4. Incidence Accidental loss of airway during ICU stayTimepoint: within 24 hours of surgery until ICU discharge or 7 days
