Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Asymptomatic Neonates greater than 28 weeks who remain euglycemic for 4 hours after starting glucose infusion. Stable cardiorespiratory parameters. Written informed consent from parents or guardians.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Neonates with congenital anomalies Asymptomatic hypoglycemic infants with features of dehydration Babies Requiring GIR greater than or equal to 10mg/dl in 1st 4 hours.

To compare Neonatal hyperglycemic events more than 125mg/dl in 2 groups Timepoint: 2 years

To estimate the incidence of Rebound Hypoglycemia in 2 groups To assess and compare the incidence of IV line complications. To compare the mean duration of Glucose infusion in both groups Timepoint: 2 years
