Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Hospitalised patients needing intravenous cannulation on routine and emergency basis, in perioprative settings and in the Intensive Care Unit.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients whose cephalic vein is damaged or inaccessible are not part of the study.

MeasureTime frame
Angulated venflon is easier to secure, require less time,cause less blood spillage without much change to flow or longevity when compared to traditional venflon.Timepoint: 48 hours

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Angulated venflon insertion is less painful to patients & allow faster vascular access, hastening treatment.Timepoint: 48 hours
