Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Clinically proven pleural empyema cases.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Emergency surgery 2) Pre operative anti-inflammatory drugs intake 3) Pre operative infections treated with corticosteroids and immunosuppressive drugs.
