Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: -Patients requiring orthodontic treatment with conventional brackets or clear aligners -18-24 years of age -Patients that have the ability to maintain good oral hygiene -Healthy periodontal and gingival condition Patients who are willing to participate in the study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: -Patient on medication that may modify normal gingival/periodontal physiology -Patients with any systemic disease that could affect the periodontal/gingival health -Non-compliant patients/ not willing to take part in the study Poor oral hygiene Patients with multiple carious lesions (indicating high Streptococcus mutans count inherently/ poor oral hygiene) Physically/mentally compromised patients
