Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Willingness to comply with the study protocol. 2.Subjects who were diagnosed with chronic generalized periodontitis (AAP international workshop for classification of periodontal diseases,1999). 3.Subjects selected should have mild to moderate periodontal pockets (5-7mm) clinically. 4.Subjects with age group of 25-55yrs.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Subjects suffering from any known systemic diseases. 2.Subjects who had received any antibiotic therapy in the last 6 months. 3.Pregnant and lactating women. 4.Unable or not willing to comply with the study protocol. 5.Subjects who are smokers. 6.Subjects who had received any chemotherapeutic mouth rinses or oral irrigation or using any other oral care products during the past 3 months. 7.History of allergy to the consumption of pineapple.
