Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Diagnosis of TMJ ankylosis confirmed by imaging studies Undergone total alloplastic TMJ reconstruction at least 6 months prior to the recruitment for the study . Able to provide informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Age between 18 and 65 years ii. No history of TMJ disorders or other relevant medical conditions iii. Normal occlusion and jaw function

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To quantitatively compare the condylar path trajectories and rotational patterns between patients with TMJ ankylosis who undergo total alloplastic reconstruction and healthy controls, as assessed by dynamic imaging techniques. Timepoint: 4 weeks

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1. To measure the arc length & curvature of the condylar path in both groups. 2. To compare the range of motion (ROM) of the condyle in both groups. 3. To measure the angular displacement of the condyle during opening & closing movements. 4. To compare the rotational axis & center of rotation between the two groups. 5. To identify specific kinematic limitations in the reconstructed TMJ compared to healthy controls.Timepoint: 4 weeks
