Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Evaluate whether T.R.U.S.T can effectively confirm correct endotracheal tube positioning in paediatric age groupTimepoint: It is assessed after orotracheal intubation, prior to start of the procedure; i.e. at baseline | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Assess efficacy of T.R.U.S.T over five point auscultation & capnography in confirming correct ETT positioning Assess distance from tip of ETT to carina when cuff is at suprasternal notch Assess appropriate volume of air & saline to maintain intracuff pressure of 20 cm H20 Confirm appropriateness of estimated tube length using conventional formulaTimepoint: It is assessed after orotracheal intubation, prior to start of the procedure, i.e. at baseline | — |
