Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria for group 1 (first-degree relatives of patients of young onset mania) First-degree relatives, ranked in order of preference, include monozygotic twins first, followed by offspring, then dizygotic twins, non-twin siblings, and finally parents of individuals in the patient group. Right-handed normotensive Individuals amenable to follow instructions Written assent or informed consent on behalf of participant, parents, guardians or care givers as applicable. Inclusion criteria for group 2 (remitted patients of young onset mania) Patients fulfilling diagnosis of Bipolar type I disorder, currently in full remission (6A60.F) according to International Classification of Diseases 11th version (ICD 11)-Diagnostic Criteria for Research (DCR) by World Health Organization (WHO, 2022) with most recent episode of mania Age of onset of first episode of mania between 11 to 18 years YMRS Score less than or equal to 7 Either sex Right-handed normotensive Individuals amenable to follow instructions Written assent or informed consent on behalf of participant, parents, guardians or care givers as applicable. Inclusion criteria for group 3 (healthy control) Subjects from the vicinity of CIP, Ranchi with no major physical/psychiatric disease or first-degree relative history of bipolar or related disorders Subjects matched with Group 1 in respect to age, sex education and handedness Right-handed normotensive Individuals amenable to follow instructions Subjects giving written consent
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria for group 1 (first-degree relatives of Patients of young onset mania) Age less than 18 years Any substance dependence (except nicotine and caffeine) Having any metallic implants/parts in body Diagnosis of any psychiatric disorder, intellectual disability, history of substantial brain damage, epilepsy or any neurological disorders History of epilepsy, substantial brain damage or any neurological procedures. Exclusion criteria for group 2 (remitted patient of young Onset mania) Diagnosis of any other psychiatric disorder, intellectual disability, history of substantial brain damage, epilepsy or any neurological disorders Patients with any substance dependence (except nicotine and caffeine) Patients having any metallic implants/parts in body Subjects who have received ECT in past 6 months Exclusion criteria for group 3 (healthy control) Diagnosis of any psychiatric disorder, intellectual disability, history of substantial brain damage, epilepsy or any neurological disorders Family history of any psychiatric disorder Any substance dependence (except nicotine and caffeine) Having any metallic implants/parts in body
