Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age between 18-25 years. 2. Fully erupted permanent dentition. 3. Normal oral and general health. 4. Mandibular anterior irregularity index ranging from 4 to 6 mm. 5. Bilateral extraction of mandibular first premolars.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Pregnancy, systemic diseases, or syndromes Medication interfering with tooth movement. 2. Skeletal discrepancy in any of three planes. 3. Extracted, missing, or badly decayed permanent teeth (not including third molars). 4. Previous history of orthodontic treatment and treatment plan involving mandibular extractions. 5. Spacing in the mandibular arch 6. Impediment to bracket placement on the mandibular anterior teeth
