Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| To look for the non-hypoxic apnoea duration (time taken for the fall in spo2 values from baseline to 94%)Timepoint: Time in seconds to be noted from the point of discontinuing preoxygenation to the point at which spo2 value falls to 94% from baseline. | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| EtCO2 values before, after preoxygenation, every min. after intubation till spo2 reaches 94% and after connection of the breathing systemTimepoint: before preoxygenation, after preoxygenation every minute after intubation till spo2 drops to 94% and after connection of breathing system;HR & MAP before, after preoxygenation, every min after intubation till spo2 reaches 94% and after connection of the breathing systemTimepoint: before preoxygenation, after preoxygenation every minute after intubation till spo2 drops to 94% and after connection to breathing system;total post operative oxygen consumption in 24 hour periodTimepoint: 2 hours, 4 hours, 6 hours, 10 hours, 14 hours, 18 hours, 24 hours | — |
