Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Children diagnosed with Down syndrome Aged 6 14 years Mild intellectual disability (DSM -IV criteria, approximate IQ RANGE 50-69) With good compliance and having self-motivated guardians. Parents and care providers providing consent to participate in the study. Consent will be obtained from the parents/guardians Written consent in English and the local language (Kannada/Malayalam).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Children with History of allergy to chlorhexidine. Visual impairment. Underlying systemic and metabolic diseases requiring medication. Undergoing specialized treatments, such as orthodontic procedures or wearing dental appliances.
