Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Children with age of group 2 to 18 years. Children in admitted in selected hospital who head underwent peripheral intravenous cannulation. Children who are present at the time of data collection. Children and parents who are willing to participate in the study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Children with central venous catheters Children with presence of preexisting skin conditions or allergy. Children with previous history of infiltration or extravasation

| 1. To assess the prevalence of the risk of intravenous infiltration and extravasation among children. 2. To identify the precipitating factors related to intravenous infiltration and extravasation. Timepoint: 1. within 24 hours of cannula insertion 2. Daily observation from day1 to day3 (every 24 hours) 3. Additional observation only for those whose cannula was still in place after day 3, until removal of peripheral IV cannula | — |
