Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Both public and private health facilities and the community at large will be included in the study. Eligible couples, aspiring couples, pregnant mothers, children till two years of age, community members, community health workers, health care workers and the stakeholders will be part of this study. The patient population includes three cohorts i.e. eligible couples cohort (pre pregnancy cohort), the pregnancy cohort and the newborn cohort. Some from the eligible couple s cohort will enter the pregnancy cohort. The women enrolled in the pregnancy cohort will be followed up till delivery. All newborns born in the district will be followed up till the end of the neonatal period. All sick and small newborns admitted in the SNCU will be followed up till two years of age.
