Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Children between ages 4-10 years old showing Frankl Behavioural Rating scale scores of 3 and 4 Patients diagnosed with SIP [symptomatic irreversible pulpitis] planned for endodontic treatment involving 2nd primary molar in children aged between 4-10 years. Teeth in which IANB fails and requires supplementary anaesthesia. Only vital teeth with active bleeding after access opening will be included in the study. Parents or caretakers who are willing to participate in this study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Children showing Frankl Behavioural Rating scale scores 1 and 2. Children with systemic diseases or children who require special health care needs. Teeth that do not respond to traditional vitality tests Teeth with acute/chronic apical abscess/periodontitis (TOP positive) with or without sinus Previously filled root canals Cases of necrotic pulp Medically compromised patients, patients with a history of intake of analgesics, steroids, and/or antibiotics in the recent past 48 hr were excluded Parents or caretakers are not willing to participate in this study.
