Intervention1: lettuce juice: Oral prophylaxis and patient is asked to take 100ml of lettuce juice daily for 14 days.
Control Intervention1: control group: only oral prophylaxis is done

Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Systematically healthy patients Patients showing a tendency to maintain good oral hygiene. Patients with gingival index score (Loe and Sillness) GI-2 or GI-3 at minimum of 3 teeth
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Inability or unwillingness to complete the trial Patients on any medication that could affect or alter the course of periodontal treatment. patients with known allergies and intolerances to any of the ingredients of the test juices. Patients with intellectual inability to comprehend and comply with the aims of the study History of smoking and alcohol abuse. Patients diagnosed with other systemic disorders. Subjects who have received periodontal flap / regenerative therapy within the past 1 year. Pregnant and lactating patients. Patients who have received antibiotic and NSAIDS therapy from the past 6 months.
