Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients between the age group 40-70 years of either gender suffering from sandhigata vata (osteoarthritis of knee). 2. Patients confirmed by x-ray (according to kellgren lawrence scale for osteoarthritis upto grade 1 and grade 2). 3. Patients fullfilliing diagnostic criteria. 4. Patients who are fit for snehapana administration.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients below 40 years and above 70 years 2. Patients with grade 3 and above changes ( according to kellgren lawrence scale) 3. Patients with injury to knee joint and underwent surgery 4. Patients with deformity in knee joints 5. Patients who are contraindicated to snehapana administration

To reduce the signs and symptoms of sandhigata vata (osteoarthritis of knee) assessed with womac index and improved range of movements of affected knee joint assessed by using goniometerTimepoint: Patients from both the groups will be assessed after 15 days
