Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Root canal-treated permanent 1st mandibular molars Non-smoker for at least 6 months before Systemically healthy with no medical history that could affect their periodontal condition Clinically and radiographically healthy gingiva and periodontium around the abutments Good oral hygiene with pocket depths less than 3 mm No evidence of attachment loss, bleeding on probing, or plaque accumulation

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: • Grossly decayed, tipped, tilted or rotated abutments. • Medically compromised illnesses (diabetes, hyperthyroidism, hypertension and other cardiovascular disorders), pregnancy, lactation, alcohol-abusing or specific drugs consumption which can affect gingival health.
