Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients in the permanent dentition who require orthodontic treatment with preadjusted edgewise appliance. Moderate crowding of not more than 6mm in the lower anteriors requiring 1st premolar extraction. Age group between 16-24 years

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Unable to provide valid consent. Craniofacial syndromes Teeth blocked out of arch or ectopic teeth not allowing bracket placement and ligation at bond up Hypodontia resulting in more than 1 tooth missing in any quadrant
