Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: All children fulfilling the criteria of sepsis and septic shock admitted to PICU according to the 3rd International Consensus Definition of 2016, during the study period
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients admitted with severe life-threatening complications other than sepsis. 2. Patients on long term medications including but not limited to antibiotics. 3. Not willing to participate.
