Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Pre- diagnosed and Diagnosed cases of Melasma. Patient who are voluntarily taking Homoeopathic Medicines and Patients who voluntarily participate in research.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Male patients will not be included Age below 18 and above 60 years. Pregnant & lactating females, active dermatitis or having any immunosuppressive/immune deficiency disorder ; diseases like Cancer, HIV. Have had a laser procedure, phototherapy, peel, oral therapy, topical treatment or lightening creams as treatment in the past 1month. The patients with post inflammatory hyperpigmentation, other pigmentary disorders with epidermal/dermal pigmentation e.g. Nevus of Ota, Nevus of Ito, Mongolian spots and will be excluded. Melasma in smaller patches or not very visible or few in numbers will not be considered. Syphilitic complaints associated with any other system will not be included such as; patients with endometriosis or severe bleeding or having DUB,etc. Co-morbidity; like, SLE, liver cirrhosis, kidney disorders or any other such complex diseases coexisting then such cases will not be included.

MeasureTime frame
To understand the effectiveness of Sepia Officinalis in cases of Melasma. To study the Sign and Symptoms of Sepia Officinalis related to Melasma. To assess the clinical utility of mMASI score.Timepoint: This will be achieved within 9 months

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
For the effective assessment and evaluation, disease intensity scores will also be maintained according to mMASI score.Timepoint: This will be achieved within 9 months
